Being Yoga Conference

Come to Omega's 2008 Being Yoga conference and learn to live your yoga by combining yoga's physical and spiritual ideals with seva, or "selfless service."

The great spiritual treatise, the Bhagavad Gita, speaks to the notion of Karma Yoga, or the yoga of selfless action. Since we cannot live without action, the Bhagavad Gita teaches, then our actions should be for the benefit of others.

For this conference, we're returning to the Sheraton New York Hotel, one of New York City's finest, conveniently located just blocks from Broadway, Times Square, and Central Park, in the heart of Manhattan's Midtown business and entertainment district. When you are not in your yoga class, you can explore the wide variety of restaurants, tourist sites, activities, and historic landmarks that the city has to offer.

Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, we welcome you to our yoga community. At Being Yoga you'll see old friends, meet new people, exchange ideas, and have fun, all while gathering the skills you need to make positive change in your life and the world.

If you ever wanted to learn how to integrate your yoga practice with bringing hope and healing to our world, this is your chance.

Join Keynote Speaker Russell Simmons, hip hop entrepreneur, community activist, and yoga practitioner for 14 years, and more than 30 of the world's leading yoga instructors for Omega's 2008 Being Yoga Conference.
